Our main floor renovation project with Opal was truly an exceptional experience with a result that exceeded our expectations. From day 1, Kevin, Tyler and team worked hard to earn our business. Once they had it, they didn’t let up. The design work and planning was instrumental in helping my wife and I merge our styles. Kevin and Lily were fantastic partners in our process and their expertise and ideas put us an ease and gave us the confidence we needed.

With the start of execution we were placed in the hands of Tyler and his team of trades. Tyler ran the project like it was his own home and he left no details unaddressed. His communication and consultations were free flowing and timely. We always felt informed and in a position to make our decisions with the best advice available. He set a detailed plan and finished ahead of schedule and on budget.

We could not be happier with our experience or the finished product. This is our third significant reno through the years and while previous experiences were good, this was next level.

Suffice it to say, we highly recommend Opal.

We met Kevin from Opal through our realtor when we purchased a home in London. We feel so fortunate to have been introduced to them. Kevin and the team spent hours looking at the potential aspects of our home and how we could approach renovations with fresh ideas and possibilities. He was enthusiastic, engaged, and went above and beyond to create a great experience for us in which we knew we were in safe hands.

The design process was very thorough and complete, and we’ve ended up with a more beautiful and functional home than we ever could have imagined! Every detail was taken care of and any issue that came up was promptly attended to by Kevin, Tyler and the team. Tyler executed the design plans flawlessly with the Opal team. He is so knowledgeable and very detail oriented. He has everything organized and put a huge amount of effort and detail into his work. We’ve had countless positive aspects of communication with both of them and we always knew we could approach them with any concern. Should we have any questions or any issues that came up they were both easily accessible and approachable.

Tyler and Kevin do fantastic work of high quality; they stand by their work and are proud of it, as they should be. We constantly get positive comments on the beauty and function of our home. I cannot emphasize enough how great the process of renovation felt in their hands.

The team presented us with a thorough and complete budget, which was followed very closely and never exceeded what was presented. Everything was kept track of and professionally documented. We were given a timeline for renovation completion, which was extremely thorough and detailed on a week by week basis, the whole process of which took about seven months. Everything was on time, and there were no lapses. Kevin and Tyler knew it was important for us to be in our house by the end of summer and they worked as hard as they could to get us in there.

Opal is a wonderful company and we are very lucky to have them here in London. Kevin and Tyler are fantastic people to work with, extremely knowledgable about both the design and the renovation components, thorough in their approach to work, and professional. Communication was fantastic right from the start.

We can’t say enough positive and wonderful things about our experience with Opal.

We are finished phase one and are about to embark on phase two of a renovation of a 1960's side split in the Hunt Club area of London. We have been very happy with Kevin, Tyler and Hannah. From the design and conception phase to construction, clean up and beyond they have been very responsive to our many questions and last minute requests. The tradespeople they have brought in have been consistently good, with Opal always ensuring that everything is top-notch and professionally done.

Communication has been excellent, including our 'Client Portal' where we can review invoices, work schedules and more. The odd time there have been issues with the work done (some of which we probably wouldn't have noticed to be honest), Kevin and Tyler are always right on top of it, making sure the work is done to the highest possible standards. Perhaps most importantly, these are all genuinely nice people too which goes a long way for us. Phase one was completed in a timely manner and on budget. We would not hesitate to recommend Opal Building Co, and are looking forward to the next stage of this transformation!

We are very happy with the outcome of our renovation project!. Opal turned our unfinished basement into our favourite place in the house and created a kitchen that brings us joy every day.

The financial and planning processes are very transparent - we were provided digital copies of every receipt, drawing, budget, permit, and quote. Early on in the process, Kevin told us that he wouldn't use a sub-contractor unless he was willing to have them in his home, and we feel like that really showed.

In the end, our project was exactly on schedule and slightly under budget. If you are looking for a company that is detail-oriented and focused on communication and customer service, we can’t recommend Opal enough.

Even though we had to cut the project short for personal reasons, the design phase went very smoothly.
