We recently completed multiple renovation projects in our home with Pacific United Contractors. The projects included the full renovation of the master bathroom, gas fireplace, TV wall unit, main bathroom and full re-painting of the interior.

Project: Deck Repair; Contractors: Pacific United Contracting

Our huge (725 sqft) deck, topped with plywood and coated with layers of fiberglass, was badly in need of repair after probably more than 50 years of good service. The old plywood had to be removed entirely, replaced with new plywood, and topped with vinyl. It took us a year and a half to find someone to repair it, and here’s what happened when we finally got them to fix it.

Consummate Craftsmen: It was a joy to watch them work. The thoughtfulness, planning, and precision of their cuts and measurements, with minimal waste and an extremely clean workplace, made it a pure joy just to see them in action!

Commitment: The hot summer days were almost forgotten. They performed the heat welding in the middle of the day, accepting the heat and sun. Their focus on excellence in the craft was a sight to behold.

Ethics and Spirituality: They are guided by principles like "Let’s do a good job," "Let’s share a bit of happiness," and "Let’s make it a better world." They deeply understand the transient nature of life—conversing with them made me feel like we had found new friends!

Expertise: We didn’t need to advise; it wasn’t necessary. They are true experts in their craft, and when you know it, you just revel in it. They provided updates even when we weren’t around. They worked until all the work was completed, without skipping a day.

What They Left Behind: A beautiful deck that they said we’d be able to "enjoy." And enjoy it, we really are! It’s gorgeous! We feel they left behind a piece of art that will remind us of them for many years to come.

WOW - Behar and his team were an absolute dream to work with, and we cannot recommend them enough. They helped us with a powder room remodel including tiling, custom vanity, fixtures installation, and painting (after we unsuccessfully tried to do it ourselves!), as well as replacing all main flooring with a high-quality laminate. Being right above the concrete parking garage, our previous, thin floors were always extremely cold on the feet. Behar recommended a special underlayment that would allow the air to circulate rather than be held in the flooring, which has made a tremendous difference to our comfort and heating bill!

Throughout the process, we felt so supported by Behar. He would check in regularly with updates, provide multiple options and walk through each one, and take time to explain what he was doing and why through the steps. Their attention to detail is unmatched, and they worked so hard every day to keep things on (and even earlier than!) scheduled. Not only that, but they were also just a true pleasure to have around. While we are so thrilled to be enjoying our new space, we miss our daily chats with them, and eagerly await the chance to work with them again.
