We wanted to try out the snowshoeing at the Olympic Park and were not disappointed. For $12 we had access to well maintained trails and glorious views. For our first visit we chose the "walk with Giants" trail which is a moderately hard snowshoe through the forest of Doug Firs, Cedars and Hemlock. We emerged behind the Olympic ski-jump, to stunning views across the valley. We pretty much had the trail to ourselves, even though it was a Saturday in peak season. Ski patrol checked up on us and the staff at the lodge and the main gate were friendly and helpful. What a great day!

This is the site of the 2010 Nordic Olympic events. In the summer there is lots to do including hiking, biking, site seeing, biathlon (shooting), disc golf, pickleball, camping. It is a great place for kids and includes a unique climbing structure (playground). The day lodge has foosball, ping pong, board games, and comfy places to sit. A cafe is open all day with a wide variety of food and drinks. Gift store, too. Bring your bug spray and bug nets.

Came here for snowshoeing in winter and tent camping in summer.

Snowshoeing: definitely will come back as the views and trails were great. You share a bit of the path with the cross country skiers which are typical for snowshoeing.

Tent camping: Only return if the other nearby campgrounds are not available. Lack of shades and the sites have no privacy at all. Nice lodge, showers and amenities. A couple hiking trails nearby and you can hike up to ski jump. When we were here in summer 2024, it seemed quiet hours were respected and enforced.

Snowshoeing at Whistler Olympic Park is an unforgettable winter experience. The trails are beautifully maintained, winding through a serene landscape of towering evergreens and fresh, powdery snow. It’s peaceful, with just the crunch of your steps breaking the stillness, making you feel like you’re in your own winter wonderland.

The highlight of the trek is Alexander Falls, and it’s nothing short of breathtaking. This towering, frozen cascade glistens under its snowy blanket, an absolute showstopper that feels like nature’s version of a grand finale. Standing there, surrounded by untouched wilderness, it’s impossible not to feel a sense of awe.

Whether you’re new to snowshoeing or a seasoned pro, this park delivers a magical escape into nature. It’s not just a trek—it’s an experience that leaves you exhilarated, refreshed, and a little more connected to the winter world around you. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a memorable adventure in Whistler.

If you stay past 4:30 you will get screamed at and degraded by disgruntled staff.

There is one sign in the whole parking lot that says park gate closes at 4:30 and we completely by accident stayed until 4:50 and were snacking in our car with our kids after a great snowshoe adventure when this lady comes up to our car screaming at us for being there. A simple ask would have gotten us on our way no need to ruin anyones day but being emotionally immature.

Wouldn't go back just for that reason. Plenty of other beautiful places in Whistler area to snowshoe.

We had such an amazing experience visiting here.

We never skied before, but we took the ski lesson and we’re also able to join the free guided tour. The instructors (Michael, Anuk and Chris) were so passionate and helpful. By end of our lesson, we got enough tips and confidence to try out on our own and skied few more hours. Absolutely loved the experience. We shall visit again!

Incredible park, lots of trails for cross country skiing & snow shoeing, dog friendly loop is amazing. If the lineups at the lifts on the mountain are getting to you, come to the park with the best cross-country ski park & bring your dog... no accommodation available at Whistler Olympic Park.

I snowshoed through most of the trails, and some were pretty steep—definitely got a good workout. The trails were marked, but a few areas were a bit unclear.
