J'ai adoré faire du snow la-bas . CEst magnifique . Mais le prix outch 189$ la journée ( de 8h30 am à 4h ) après sa ferme . J'ai trouver sa cher , mais j'ai vraiment aimer l'expériance.

It can be a bit tricky to get to Blackcomb Glacier, specially for inexperienced skiers, but it is totally worth the effort. Glaciers are all magnificent formations to see, but this one you can actually touch it, go inside the cave, see the ice movement marks up close. On top of that, this less crowded side of the Blackcomb mountain offer amazing vistas of the peaks surrounding it.

What a stunner. It’s interesting to see how much of it has melted from looking at previous photos and seeing it in person. Take the showcase t-bar up and ride down blackcomb glacier. During the first bend you want to stay on skier’s right to go out of bounds. You’ll see 3 orange markers that are just above the cave. Chances are that there will be plenty of other people there already with their skis all laid out. I took the first lift up there and was able to enjoy solitude for 15 minutes.

The glacier is an amazing space. Beautiful wide bowl with rolling terrain to ski through.

The glacial caves are also amazing. Sometimes they are filled in for safety reasons but during the season check out the beautiful caves.

At least once in your life get out to the backcountry behind blackcomb and whistler. Hire a guide if you need. But get out there on some backcountry ski gear on a clear day and you will never forget it. You can rent backcountry gear in whistler village.

From Blackcomb base, take the gondolas / chairs up to Glacier Lodge, then up the Glacier chair, up the Showcase T-bar, a 5min hike, and you'd arrive at the top of Blackcomb Glacier. Traverse to the right side for a more mellow ride down, and about halfway down before the run narrows and turns flat, you'll find the ice cave to your right! If you go too fast you might miss it.
