Very last century, more of a bookkeeping company than a property management. I'm an owner. Doesn't matter how great the agent is, they're limited by the company's policies. Very wasteful and makes you do most of the work anyways. Stay away. GL

I’m an owner of a condo that this company has managed for years. I’m the past I owned another condo that had a different manager. Firstly, when I purchased the condo you rely on the minutes of these meetings to be accurate. Secondly, they are very secretive and not very forthcoming. The minutes are often not a reflection of the meetings, and when I was supplied with these prior to my purchase, some meetings ( recent meetings) were carefully omitted from the package.
They write the bare minimum down, which omits some important information. Now onto the actual management. I find our manager rude and disrespectful in her role. She’s extremely toxic and narcissistic, forgetting that she works for everyone who owns a unit. She’s even hung the phone up on me, and threatened to charge me for providing me with minutes that I didn’t receive. If you value customer service and respect, use a different company. Additionally, they are very slow to provide services and follow through with her job to find contractors etc. We pay about 10k a year for these services, but I don’t think it’s worth it. Our meetings are bi annual. Our contingency fund should be invested, yet it sits in an account that is part of this company’s portfolio and does nothing. Not even simple compounding interest in a savings account. Ridulculous buisness practices. Go somewhere else.

We were disappointed in this rental company... we were consistent with checking in with a certain rental we really wanted and was told we would receive an answer either way if we got the place or not... never heard back. Luckily we secured something last minute with another company.

Don't recommend penny lane!

Horrible home buying experience. My family was planning a move to Comox, and we were strongly interested in a property Penny Lane were licensed to sell. After expressing strong interest, arranging a viewing with them and flying from across the country to see it (of which they were aware), they sold the property to another buyer just before our viewing, without giving us a chance to view or even informing us of the other offer before it was signed. They didn't represent us, and the owner of the property certainly has no obligation to anyone, but it is typically professional curtesy of realtors to notify other buyers when an offer has been given to give families that are hopeful a chance to give their own offer. Especially when going through so much effort and spending the money to come across country. Not to mention that it's in the interest of the seller they represent to receive all offers before making a decision. Treating people with respect and professionalism doesn't seem to be their MO.

Terrible rental company. DONT RENT FROM THEM. Super rude and belittling customer support even towards a long term tenate. Never helpful with building issues. Especially for parking. DONT RENT FROM PENNYLANE. Camping full-time would be Less of a headache. SHOUT OUT to the office staff for being the rudest ladies in the valley! CONGRATULATIONS PENNYLANE YOU'RE TERRIBLE!

Pennylane used to be a wonderful, honest, and professional business to go through for renting and managing properties. For the past few years I’ve encountered rudeness, dishonesty, and lack of communication on their end. It’s too bad considering I used to recommend them to people who were looking to rent, or were looking for a company to help manage their rental properties.
