When it comes to dentistry, I'm afraid I am not a fan, for no particular reason, just anxious and expecting a less than pleasant experience.
This past week I was forced to seek emergency care for an abscess which resulted in my having root canal surgery.
My regular dentist referred me to Quinte Endodontics where Dr. "Greg" Soo Chan provided me with the most thorough, pleasant and exceptional dental procedure I have ever experienced. The support staff were extremely pleasant and very professional...there was lots of laughter during the two hour session, and when I had the apparatus removed from my mouth, I could smile and ask questions about much of the conversation...thank you ladies!!
There was very little post op pain.
Without hesitation, I would certainly recommend Dr. "Greg" and his staff.

Dr. Greg Chan is an excellent endodontist!
He made me feel very comfortable throughout the two appointments I had to complete my root canal.
Danielle and Michelle are amazing front desk administrators. Over the phone and in person they make you feel so comfortable. Such kind and caring individuals. They are extremely knowledgeable about the entire process of root canal.
Miranda is a kind and considerate assistant and she made me feel very comfortable throughout my appointments.
Great office to have a root canal done. Even though having a root canal is a scary situation for most, they provide the upmost in care.

Dr Soo Chan were very professional. I found Michelle was super friendly and accommodating, contrary to what another had posted. Dr Soo Chan made an otherwise uncomfortable procedure quite pleasant and I would have no hesitation to return or recommend him

Insanely over priced!!! Money grabbing crooks! $2200 for a root canal! No wonder dentists have the highest suicide rate of any profession!!! It's the guilt!

Had a root canal today! I was very worried because it was my first-ever root canal. Dr. Soo Chan (Aka “Greg”) as he asked to be called, was excellent. He and his assistant Miranda did an extremely thorough consultation. Greg explained my options, the procedure and fees very well. He alleviated my fears of having a root canal. The reception staff, Danielle and Michelle are amazing—extremely efficient and friendly. I highly recommend Greg Chan and his team for your root canal needs. 🙂

Horrible experience from start to finish. Was called the day before and asked to come in early. When I said I didn't think I would be able to make that time, I was treated with disrespect from Michelle, the receptionist. I arrived the next day (early), sat down, and made some small talk with Michelle. Then a man walks in, says his name and the same time that I was scheduled for, so Michelle clearly double booked and only realized the day before. The lady who did the intake process was nice. Dr. Gregory Soo Chan entered the room, and his presence was cold, and his responses were demening and vague. Then to the billing. I pay the full amount up front and out of pocket because I assumed Michelle could tell what I had coverage for and what I didn't. Michelle doesn't submit a claim even after being given my policy info two weeks prior during the booking process. When I returned home, I found out that I do have coverage as per my plan for the radiographs. When I contacted her, she was disrespectful and told me that I told her I was out of coverage, which is a complete lie. Upon my request, she sent the form necessary to submit my claim. When she sent it, I noticed that on the form, she had entered my date of birth completely wrong. Decade was wrong, month and day completely off. When I called her to ask if she could correct it, you guessed it, she is again disrespectful. I'm happy to say I never have to step foot in that office again, and neither do you. Do yourself a huge favor and find another endodontist.

Very unfortunate experience with this Endodontist. Although the outside gum was numbed for the needle, the inside was not and a very rough and painful experience getting two needles there. Throughout the procedure he chatted with his assistant about nothing and stopped a few times to look at her while he chatted. Then stopped again to look up on google what two French islands off the coast of Newfoundland are named while I lay in an awkward uncomfortable position and a dental dam in my mouth. As the procedure continued my mouth kept filling with water and tooth debris and swallowed several mouthfuls of that. Then at the end he communicated the tooth was cracked at the bottom and there was nothing he could do to fix it. He filled the tooth he just drlled out but not well (I feel a large hole in it) and said I need to go to my dentist to get it pulled, got up and walked away. $800 for a 30 minute experience from hell. The most Unproffessional experience I have ever encountered in 63 years of regular dental trips, root canals etc. I had heard from a friend that his wife had a terrible experience with this same guy but I had already paid $250 on top of the $800 for the first consultation and didn't want to pay that again.

If you read this please do yourself a service and find a better option elsewhere.
