Not that this company needs another 5 star review but hey they earned it! Really excellent communication from quoting, booking and install. Nick, our installer, was a wealth of information and just a very nice human. Did great work (he is very, very experienced) and left the area cleaner than he found it. For an additional charge he was able to rerun our sump pump discharge that was likely not up to code originally. We went from a summer time (when the doors and windows are open always) 3 month average of 382 Bq/m3, with spikes above 600 to now showing +/- 20. It's a pricey install but not overpriced when you see the quality of the work and the peace of mind that follows.

It was through watching those home improvement shows on HGTV is where I learned about Radon and how it can be very dangerous for your health. It prompted me to do some research on Radon and how to mitigate it properly. I simply googled radon removal and a few companies came up on the search and Radon Care was at the top (now I know why!). Anyways I filled out their form for a quote and waited for a response. It didn’t take long for Andrew to give me a call. He was very professional and extremely knowledgeable! We chatted for a bit and he took the time to address my needs. I received a quote from Andrew and I let him know that I’d have to think about it. Well fast forward four months later haha. I finally made the decision to have the mitigation system installed after doing a long term testing with the Airthings Corentium digital meter. My levels were not extremely high but it peaked at around 260 Bq/m3 and that’s more than the recommended “safe” limit of 200 Bq/m3 that the government of Canada suggests. So that was enough to push me to have this done.

Andrew and his team came out November 17, 2020 to install the system. It was a BIG job! I was amazed that there was so much involved with the installation! The work was top notch and they were extremely neat and tidy. All the venting and piping was run parallel with my existing exhaust pipes and the entire system looked like it had been there all along. They cleaned up everything when the installation was complete and it was like they weren’t even there. Andrew and I chatted a bit after the install. He took the time to explain the system in detail and made sure that I understood everything. What really stuck out to me is how passionate he is about radon mitigation and how much he knows about Radon gas. I have had this system installed for less than 24 hours and I just checked the short term reading which was at 172 Bq/m3 yesterday and it is currently sitting at 86Bq/m3, that’s a drop of 50% in under 24 hours!

So for those of you that are on the fence about radon mitigation that hopefully after you’ve read this review that you will give Andrew a call! Work is guaranteed for 5 years afterwards too! No need to shop around for a mitigation company, Radon care is the ONLY choice!

I had a last minute idea to book mitigation 2 weeks before my basement reno started and I lost hope when every company I called was booking into 3 months after. Andrew appreciated I was trying to make it easier for them and told me to hold his beer while he worked with the team to slot me in TWO DAYS LATER. I'm not saying they can do that for everyone, but they worked a miracle and I was mitigated within 72 hours of calling them.

Andres and Chris did a great job from ensuring they had removed their boots every time, to taking great care around our cats and completed the job by the afternoon, ensuring to keep me informed on any details. They also worked around my messy pre-reno basement and while I don't want to volunteer them for a tough job, I know you'll be in good hands if you get them. Also thanks to Kristin for responding to all my emails so quickly and answering all my questions!

They are heavily certified, work with the researchers and sit on the certification board and it shows with how comprehensive their methods were, including measuring air pressure and surface temperatures to ensure there were no other air leaks.

Strongly recommended for quality of work, strong communication, expertise and even the price was reasonable compared to when I was calling around.

I am very happy with the work Andrew and his team did last year for radon mitigation in my home. I went from ~250 Bq/m^3 down to ~20 on average now, confirmed with a long term test over the winter and with an Airthings sensor that I check through the year. Andrew was very helpful and answered all my questions through the install process. The system has been working without a hitch for almost a year now. I don't think you can go wrong with using RadonCare if you are in need of mitigation.

Poor communication. Failed to updated us on important changes with our radon project. 1 rude staff member spoiled the rest of the crew which is a shame, because the others are great!
After the miscommunication happened, and we delt with the rude employee, and we let that be known to management, there was no further contact with us to complete the project.
