I rented an apartment from Richer Realty for a year and a half. I had a fair few problems with the unit, from a deck surface that needed replacing, a stove needing replacing, carpet was on its last legs. However while I lived there they were extremely responsive to maintenance requests, replacing a few worn out light switches and electrical outlets, and when my sink faucet leaked, replacing it with not the cheapest faucet available one, but a hose faucet which was extremely appreciated when I was washing dishes. In my building I had next to zero issues with neighbours.
I did end up having an issue with a roof leak, which since it was an old building was understand despite the inconvenience it caused to me. They didn't reimburse me for the roof leak making a decent portion of my unit not useable, but did their best to have roofer patch the leak and were gettign the roof replaced, and did allow me to not have to get the carpet cleaned when I moved out since it was damaged by the roof leak.

Considering I was renting next to the cheapest 2 bed 650sqft unit in GP, although I think I faced a fair brunt of the buildings age coming to needing some upkeep, I think Richer Realty did their best in dealing with it, and definitely didn't make me feel screwed over by it.

I have only been renting from Richer Realty for a month now but they have been wonderful!! Right after moving in I've had to call them about 5 times but everything has been dealt with right away (and it's all been issues based on the house being empty for a while before we moved in). Liane is amazing to work with, and I really appreciate that they have a 24hr answering service so that I can call them as soon as an issue arises, then they will deal with it right away in an emergency or the next day if it can wait. Everyone I've dealt with here had been incredibly helpful and pleasant!

- The unit was very clean and well kept when I moved in. I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness and they exceeded my expectations.
- Liane was always quick to reply to any maintenance issues, or noisy neighbours issues, and sometimes she even replied to my concerns over the weekend which was very nice. She always replied on the same day or the very next day at the latest.
- Their office takes credit card as a method of payment for rent so I could pay over the phone which was very convenient.
- I received my security deposit back immediately after I moved out.
- When I unexpectedly had to cancel my lease agreement, Richer Realty was understanding and worked with me so I didn’t have to pay any cancellation fees.
- I have rented with three property management companies in Grande Prairie and I definitely felt like this was one of the best. The biggest difference I’ve noticed between renting from the bigger property management companies versus Richer’s locally owned business, is Richer cares for their tenants. They're not just a “money grabbing” business. If I didn’t have to leave, I would have rented with them until I was ready to buy my own home.

Thank you for your amazing service! We stayed at a house for 3 months, cancelled the lease 9 months earlier - and haven’t had any problems with Richer Realty. The damage deposit was returned in a full amount. Fair to say that this company works with customers individually, always helps! Wish you good luck!

Rented 2 homes with richer in 2yrs, they were always quick to respond with any issues we had, and were accommodating when we were looking for a place to live. When we moved out we got our damage deposits back with no issues, and they were clear about what their expectations were. IF we ever needed to rent in GP again, they will be the first people we call!

Apartment wasn't in the best of shape; giant water stain on the kitchen floor, stains on the carpet, marks on some the walls, but overall we let it slide cuz it was just a living situation for a couple of months and they were the cheapest.
They weren't great on responding to communication, hard to get in contact with them by phone and email so you'd have to constantly go in to their office and be greeted by unfriendly staff.
Anyways, my roommate and I were leaving and gave them the proper month notice, left and got a call from them on the drive home saying everything was good.
A month later we got the deposit cheque back $600 short of what it was supposed to be, and with them now saying they had to bring a cleaning crew in so they took the cost of it (apparently it cost over $600 which is ridicolous) out of the damage deposit.
Tried calling them about it but they were unresponsive and once again hard to get ahold of.
Just stay away from this company and rent from someone more reliable and trustworthy.

We rented a place from Richer, any problems or concerns were dealt with very quickly. Fair business practices. Simply, if you are late on payment, there is a fee. If You do not follow the printed list when leaving the rental, you don't get your full deposit back.. I would recommend this company for owners and renters

My friend who is a single mom unexpectedly lost her job, shortly after signing a 12 month lease with Richer Realty. Richer Realty was completely sympathetic towards her and they helped her advertise her unit and they found someone else to take over her lease so she didn’t have to pay any penalties or fees! Richer Realty went above and beyond for her and this needs to be shared. For a local family-owned property management, they truly take care of their tenants.
