I don't write reviews a lot.

Girlfriend and I came in without a little over 30 minutes to spare before closing. We intended on being quick, organized and tidy.

Before we even got to sorting the younger employee was being very rude, rushing us and not letting us communicate. I'm not sure if he had somewhere to be and needed to leave right at closing, but his attitude was horrible. It would be different if it was just me, but his attitude was focused mostly on my girlfriend. I gave him some back, and we ended up only returning half of what we brought.

Not going back again. Other bottle Depot has a better system and much nicer employees.

It was my second time visiting this location, and this time I decided to count how many cans I had in a bag because, after my first visit, I felt like I didn’t get paid as much as I should have. I had just over 100 bottles and was expecting about $10 in return.

After the employee counted and gave me a receipt, it said $6. I wouldn’t make a big fuss over a few dollars, but this is about honesty. I can’t imagine how much money they might be taking by the end of the day if they’re shorting everyone by a little. So, I asked about it. It was extremely hard to communicate with employees who had limited English, and I only got $1.90 back after a long conversation. At that point, I gave up. I won’t be returning to this location again.

Told me to sort something differently and then sent me to the table to do so, meanwhile He took trays off my cart without putting them in my tally! Thieves 8 barrel bags of mostly 2 liters ended up being only 26 dollars he gave me in the end.

Daughter no longer goes here with bottles I save for her due to the fact they Always undercount!
At some point I think RecycleBC will investigate and suspend them from the program(or they should for blatantly ripping off the public)

Update: It looks to me like they’ve worked to improve this location, with more parking available out front now. And I haven’t been seeing homeless people hanging out like before. So while recycling isn’t my favourite chore, the location isn’t an added deterrent anymore. Good work! Upgrading my review from 1 star to 4!

I don’t like going to the new location
although it looks like lots of nearby parking, most of it is marked No Parking. And most of the inside space is set up for bottle returns; much less space for other recyclables. And homeless people camped out outside.

I usually don't like to leave bad reviews because I own business myself. I just went to their new location by the old Canadian Tire. One of employees was very rude. Emoplyee was asking me to clean up other people mess. When I said it was not my mess, employee got more mad. I left immediately as I didn't want to get yelled at.
Also, the place is full of wasp. Be careful folks. Hopefully, nobody gets bit by wasps.
I also noticed that they didn't count 2 of my cans basket. I didn't make it big deal because not sure what's going on in this stote, but I will not go there in future.

I went by there today around 1pm the place didn’t even look open and there was many bottle collectors outside wanted to approach I didn’t feel safe at all I left! The parking lot is big so people tend to loiter outside!! I hope the old depot is still open

Great place. Sign up for the drop off.. It's fast, easy and they e transfer the money. No waits. Just walk in, sign in using your phone number you used signing up and print the number of labels for the bags you are dropping off... Easy Peasy!

Seems the recycle side closed prior to 5. Says 6.
