A little annoyed. It says I could take USD out of my account. I wasn’t allowed to at the bank machine. I’m sure it’s a good place it’s just annoying.

The teller, Cremaria (not sure of the spelling), gave me the most exceptional service I’ve ever received at a bank. She was very personable and while speaking to her, she shared with me the features and benefits of obtaining a credit card. It didn’t sound like an effort to “sell” me a credit card. She looked me in the eye and with genuine interest, explained how a cash back credit card would benefit me. We had a brief cordial conversation about our mutual experience in the jewelry business. She asked if there was anything else she could do for me and wished me a good day.

Perfect.

Too bad I can’t give this place a 0 star rating. I’m shocked at how they even have customer retention. I experienced the absolute worst case of RACISM. The one teller(Female Caucasian) was available and made me wait a good 5 mins, she tells me to “hold on and she’ll be with me.” It’s not busy, there’s no one around. Meanwhile the only other teller (Female Asian) finished with her client(Female Caucasian) and helped me instantly. I walk up and sure enough a Caucasian female customer walks up to that said “busy teller” and was helped instantaneously, literally seconds off entering the building. Huh
go figure. To the Asian teller, thank you for not being racist and doing your job properly, regardless of your customers’ ethnicity. I WILL NEVER step foot into this bank again and will suggest to everyone I know not to. Drive to Stony Plain Servus if you can. Spruce Grove Servus is horrible. Seeing they regularly get terrible reviews about their customer service
makes perfect sense. Garbage customer service. Also, it’s hard to believe that I have to actually describe everyone by their race in this post, how unfortunate that under these circumstances I had to in order to explain the racism occurring here. Grow up it’s 2023, Canada is filled with beautiful people of many cultures. Train your staff and do better.

I should have read the reviews before coming here; Servus as a company should be ashamed. Of course only now do I see all these reviews saying the same thing. As a customer I try to make interactions with tellers pleasant as possible, as I know they're busy and only doing their jobs. To have that spit back in my face is disgraceful, and left me so rattled that I had to come to review them. I live west of Spruce, and I lost my primary photo I.D. for reasons related the recent fires. I went here to cash a federal government cheque with (ample) other I.D. -- the teller actually rolled her eyes at me and acted as though I was some criminal there to scam her. The branch manager was worse, both were so astonishingly rude it felt like I must be getting pranked. I can't believe all these complaints and bad reviews have done nothing to alert Servus to the issues at this location.

In the end they didn't allow me to cash my cheque and forced me to go to another bank for it. The other bank immediately helped me and cashed the cheque; are you kidding me, Servus? Now I have my photo I.D. again, but I am never returning to this place. I no longer trust this company.

[Edit: Four months later, I'm not surprised that there has been zero response to any of these reviews from customers. Personally, after this experience I made moves to leave Servus entirely and I haven't regretted it for a moment. Even RBC treated me like a human being, despite being a "big bank" not a credit union. The tellers there were amazing four months ago when I went there after this incident at Servus.]

TL;DR: Save yourself the indignity, and avoid this location as long as you plan to live in Spruce Grove.

Incredibly slow to accommodate me in my banking needs. They sent a wire transfer to the wrong account and have repeatedly told me that it will be fixed but the problem still persists after 2 weeks. The Manager (Charles) can't be bothered to reply to emails requesting simple information regarding this transaction. I am going to be changing banks shortly and would never recommend Servus for anything.

I understand everyone is busy,... But to wait on hold for the "branch" to pick up for over 20min is ridiculous.... This is pathetic

I wanted to activate a new card. I called the 800 number and got an agent working from home. They said there was a computer glitch so I had to go to the building. I went at 3pm on Wednesday and stood in a long line. In 8 minutes the line didn't move so I left. A lady pushing a baby carriage looked at me walking out and turned around and left too.

Branch manager beyond helpful. 35 years I have been with this bank and received any help from him. The only thing he was willing to help with was closing my account. Went down the street to RBC where I don’t have an account and the 100% took care of me. Servus is not what it use to be
