My stay in South Gate Tower has been amazing, to be honest. I am thankful to the Boardwalk team for their quick responses to every issue and their efforts to resolve things as soon as possible. They have been very understanding as well.Safety in the apartment is good. All the entrances get closed during night and only apartment members has the access to enter even during day .

I want to give a special mention to my sweet Mary Ann. She is a darling and made our stay more comfortable, helping us settle in every way possible. Her smiling face is so endearing.

Mary Ann our apartment manager is very friendly, very attentive, very caring and very understanding. She always tries her very best to assist all of the tenants in our building. She deserves a raise in pay. We need her to stay here in our building as she is irreplaceable!

Mary Ann is so sweet- incredibly accommodating, always has a smile on her face. She is different from other leasing agents that I have had in the past. Apart from that, the building is amazing too. Beautiful interior and facilities + close to Southgate & lrt. Doesn’t get any better.

Infested with COCKROACHES!!!! They have traps set all over the building, laundry rooms, mail room, pool area and garbage rooms. No bottom weather strip on your door so bugs are free to infest your apartment at any time. When you do end up with an infestation, they demand you stay out of your apartment for 8 hours after emptying every drawer, cupboard and closets. Only to have to clean everything again before puttingyour home back togerger.. My mom is 70, has congestive heart failure and her heart only works at 35%. She gets dizzy easily and needs to rest often and not over do it. They told her she could go walk around or sit in their event room down stairs, for 8 hours!!!
Maryanne said, very rudely by the way, that the infestation came from my mom's suite. Mom had been there 2 years and has never had any infestation, ever in her life. Then to find out from the contractors cleaning out the cat pee unit next door, that they had cockroach nests under their carpet. After fighting with Maryanne, my mother in-law was put into a disgusting crack shack of a room so she could sleep while they treated her apartment. I have never seen such a disgusting place, grossly dirty, you couldnt take your shoes off. I refused to even sit on the bed. I have many photos that I will be sharing with CTV. Unreal treatment of a senior citizen.
The staff are rude and very dishonest. They spy on you after you walk past them, and then talk to each other in their language instead of speaking english. Maryanne and her spying little side kick, cleaner chick who cleans, need to be dealt with! This is NOT OK!
Today Maryanne watched me take my mother in-law out this morning, we were gone for an hour. I know she watched us because my mom turned and looked right at her. Came back to a notice under my moms door for a landscaping survey being held in June. Why would my mother in-law need this when youve already evicted her You gave her 11 days to find a new home!!!!!! She won't be there in June so why the need for the letter half shoved under her door as soon as she leaves the building? This letter was placed under my mom's door only. I looked at every door on this floor, and I used the elevator to check multiple other floors. NOPE no notices at any other apartment doors! Just my mom's apartment. Bullies! This is insane. Entering my moms suite without notice is wrong Maryanne!
I went to ask Maryanne why the need for the letter when she knows my mom is moving in 3 days. She said "You don't live here, I don't have to listen to you. Go away!"
Boardwalk, please check your cameras in the lobby because I made sure I was standing right by one. She went to a little old lady and said "you're going to be my witness". Involving a total stranger instead of just answering the question. I just can't with this woman. Please Boardwalk, do something before she treats any other people this way.

Side notes:
Elevators always broken
Pool always down for maintenance or homeless poop in it.
Parking lot and grounds are always full of garbage.
Can't use the green space beside the tennis court because there are dirty needles. I have personally picked one up and disposed of it.
Big problem with homeless getting into the building.
Park in visitor parking and get a warning that they will tow your vehicle on your windshield. I received several of these warnings. So I go ask Maryanne for a parking pass like it says on the warning. Nope, she doesn't give those out. Visitor parking is ONLY for future tenants coming to view the suites....Her words exactly! Put in about 15 calls to Boardwalk headoffice and have never once received a follow up phone call. Nobody cares I guess.They are sneaky, manipulative and horrible here.
Lease says "smoking is RESTRICTED to unit and balcony" but Maryanne says that means no smoking. Perhaps someone who understands the terminology a little better should be working in that office. Both lease renewals still say the same thing, restricted smoking and they still say you can't smoke in your unit.
This place is exhausting.

Merry Christmas and happy new year! We had a great experience from the first call we made to Southgate tower all the way to the moving day. Sahil was very helpful; he helped us throughout the process from the very beginning he explained each step with manner and kindness. All the process were done very fast with great manner and with friendly conversations. He answered every single one of our calls and guided us through the whole lease process with great manner and great advises. On the moving day we met MaryAnn, what can I say, what a lovely and kind person. From the beginning she made us feel valued and truly at Home with her beautiful smile and caring attitude we got a very warm home coming welcome. She came up to our apartment and explained everything to us, the apartment was clean and nice.

Mary & Jackie were amazing, super helpful and friendly and the staff as well very helpful.
When there was a problem in my balcony, they quickly sent the maintenance to clean it and install the netting.

I’m very disappointed! After living here for more than three years, the management is so unprofessional, they don’t really solve your problems they just claim that everything will be fine, we have being complaining for a year about a noisy neighbour who doesn’t care what time of the day it is, and all what we got is “ we talked to him”! If I still was in my previous apartment l, I’m sure the manager would have kicked this noisy neighbour out after the second complaint!! Unfortunately, very poor management!
