I have lived at the 735 Wonderland Rd S property going on 3 years this December. Since the Building was sold the new Building manager has been really good. Things get completed quickly and the Manager is really great to get along with. Everyone or at least the majority of tenants enjoy having him around. Keep up the great work and heres to many more years ahead. Cheers. Brad and Kevin

Since Sterling Karamar has taken over Our Buildings they have been doing so many great things for the tenants. We have an amazing Superintendent who never hesitates to drop what he is doing iif someone is needing help. James has been a lifesaver for many of us even for the smallest thing and doesn't mind giving a hand. I'm so thankful to see a great company take over and make this place as great as they have, Now 725, 735, and 745 Wonderland Road South is an Amazing place to live.

I'd recommend to not bother wasting your time and energy trying to rent from here. The people working in the company are incompetent in their roles and lack empathy for their clients. The company is incapable of change, not operated well, and do not care about customer service.

Do not bother renting from this company. Office staff is rude and unhelpful, won't even give us straight answers on basic maintenance. Among other issues with the unit, we've been dealing with black mold in our bedroom - we're weeks into this and the rep is still not giving us straight answers on when it will be treated, and gave us an unprofessional attitude. This company is either incompentent, or does not care about the wellbeing of the tenants in their buildings, they only care about maximizing profit and minimizing cost.

I lived in their townhouses at 35 Waterman Ave for 4.5 years and while the complex and house is beautiful, I was unhappy towards the end. I fled my husband in November 2021 due to abuse and I tried several times to notify Sterling Karamar I was no longer there and please take me off the lease. I told them the situation. They refused, said I needed my husband's permission to come off the lease despite that he would never give it. He was hoping I would be on the hook for the damage he did and the mess he eventually left when he moved out. There is a peace bond in place and his bail conditions all stipulating we cannot communicate or be around each other at all so how can we possibly mutually sign a form for me to come off the lease IF he would even give his permission. Exceptions should be made in the case of abuse! Also they lied to us, they told us the units were being sold for condos but they are actually renting them out for even more. We were paying $1130 for our unit and once they rent it out again, it will $2399!! That's over twice as much! What a money grab...

misleading & not honest, first time renter on her own started this month & upon arrival there was air fresheners and a new coat of paint. after being there for a week the smell is starting to come out, previous renters had cats who sprayed all over the unit. the toxic smell is burning her lungs, she's on her own & working from "home". It's been brought up asap, within 2 business days there should be an answer or action. however before a new tenant moves in, these problems should be address. UNACCEPTABLE, if nothing is figured out by mid next week I will be assisting with an lawyer to get the proper action taken. do better sterling karamar.

As one of the staff at the 1, 3 & 5 Frontenac I thought I would provide a bit of an update, as the majority of the reviews are from a year ago. I have only been here for the last year, so I'm going to focus on that time frame. As for the lost cash rent, it's my understanding that that occurred years ago.
Currently we're not allowed to receive payments in cash, even if a tenant wishes to pay cash, it is not an option.
There were a rash of car break ins, not just here at Frontenac, but in the Pond Mills area in general. In an attempt to curb the issue here, we've had nine GIANT flood lights affixed to the roofs of the buildings to better light the buildings. We've also removed the trees from the front of 1 Frontenac that once blocked the view and provided privacy in the parking lot.
The cleanliness of the buildings is being addressed as well, while I'm told the buildings are generally in better shape than they have been in years past, we are always striving to improve. We've initiated regular outdoor garbage pick up, on top of the annual giant spring garbage pick started this year that brought in a literal truck load of garbage pulled out from property line to property line. We're currently experiencing a change in staff that will provide additional cleaning power to the team.
I acknowledge that there have been issues here in the past, and I acknowledge that we have not yet reached a state of perfection. But it is only by the acknowledgement of our flaws that we can identify them and strive to correct them.

Two years ago I wrote a review where I was incredibly upset after we'd had a series of break ins within the building with little response or appearance of care from the company. There were maintenance issues, security concerns, and when I'd interacted with the company, I'd been left feeling like I was just another number in their tenant roster.
I wanted to change my review after the past two years, because I felt that I have been too negative, and because I think it's important that companies can improve, and think that, within this office, they have made strides to be as helpful and compassionate as possible, especially with the current state of the world and the covid pandemic.
I've been lucky to be able to support myself through it, but appreciated their understanding when I had a hiccup in November. And, as before, I have always considered their maintenance lovely gentlemen, and they have addressed the safety issues I had been concerned about prior as well.
I can't imagine being a landlord is easy during all of this, so that they reached out to check on me personally was a bit of a surprise, and I realized I have been way too hard on them.
Hopefully when things get a little more back to normal, I can better appreciate the benefit of the great downtown location again too 🙂
