Terrible experience and it was only through a phone call. I came across a beautiful house on Marketplace and messaged the “seller” named Dave and he sent back an automated message stating I had to contact Strano Properties, so I did. I was directed to someone who took my information and told me the leasing agent would call me back as soon as possible. 2 days go by and I get a call back from a woman named Joanne. I told her we were interested in the 4 bedroom house and she told us there was no showings on it until the Saturday. We said no problem. I ended up calling back as we were excited to potentially get this house so I called back and asked if we could see the property sooner as we didn’t want to miss out on it. She said no problem, I’ll get you in the Friday. Well Friday is here and I get a text message, DAY OF, saying there is no showing today because the house isn’t available anymore. How is that possible if there hasn’t been any showings?

Overall, I’m disappointed and angry with Strano Properties, especially Joanne as she lied and said that no one had seen the property

My son and 4 friends have rented a great house from Strano for 3 years. Strano has always been responsive when there has been an issue, and the owners of the house have also been very accommodating. The process to get something fixed is very clear, and they have had prompt maintenance from Strano to any requests. It has been a great first renting experience and we feel Strano has been great a management company.

Trying to play foul and not pay out an N11.
We moved out, they have not picked up the keys, yet they think somehow that's OUR fault.
SPM agreed to get keys and pay final $3000 on the 15th, none of your employees have yet to pickup but instead try to pull a fast one saying we weren't out so you can avoid paying the final $3k owed..

Remember, I ran a security agency out of that place with multiple cameras showing us move out.

Does the following picture look like we haven't moved out yet?

Lisa Wallis the owner has been kindly notified of your incompetence as a property management company. Didn't sound like she was aware how shady your operation is.

YOU literally voided your OWN issued N11 by not paying us on the date written, and are trying to take us to the LTB on the 19th? 4 days later....while you STILL haven't tried to even pick up the keys let alone inspect the place?
I have to laugh because that's simply hilarious.

Your company is a complete joke and the reviews confirm.

Remember when you tried to tell me I couldn't run a business from this apartment? That's the level of knowledge you get with SPM staff.

Landlords beware, this company is an extreme liability to your business.

One of their employees was caught trying different keys in my front door while on site for a fire alarm inspection.

SPM tried to fine every tenant in the building $75 because one tenant put garbage out a night early creating a mess and they couldn't identify who. Their solution, blame and fine every tenant even though there is no legal mechanism to do so.

They will schedule inspections then never show up or cancel.

EDIT: Friday July 21st @ 10am they finally sent someone to inspect and collect. The inspection took less than one minute! That's how easy it was to avoid all this yet here we are. Landlords beware, this company does not look out for your best interests and may steer you directly into legal hot water.
This morning Nathalie even had the nerve to call and ask that I remove this review.
Absolutely not as it's 100% truthful.

I am predicting a retaliatory review in return just like I predicted this non-payout attempt.

Terrible experience altogether. Horrible company run by people who seem to have no idea what they are doing. If any issues arise in the unit you are renting, expect a number of weeks to pass before anything is done. They don’t take maintenance requests seriously and make as little effort as possible to alleviate the situation. Don’t have complete knowledge of the units they are managing when looking for new tenants leading to us paying our neighbouring units gas for nearly a year before we investigated ourselves and found this out. Rather than apologizing and promptly paying us back the money owed to us for the gas, SPM argued back and forth with us for months over their mistake before finally paying. I urge anyone looking to rent, for your own sake do not deal with SPM. Incompetent and unprofessional in every sense of the word.

Lived in a place managed by them, a body was found in one of the units down the hall from me, but only after about 2 months of complaining from everyone in the building about the smell. Also not to mention the meth dealer on the same floor next to the aforementioned unit. Just a lot a people that lie really well to get a sale, specially Joe.

No one called me back…. No one answered emails
Literally had to go in to their building to talk to someone….

Made the appointment and it was canceled for days later

Not very impressed for how many people were just sitting around inside to not reply to my calls

Their online application was kind of annoying too

Uninhabitable conditions all around, terrible people in the apartment and to top things off, had a neighbor whose dog would bark for 10 hours out of the day. The owner of it was also a psychopath who threatens psychical violence to anyone that would say something against it. I hope the worst for that guy.

Had a full kitchen renovation completed by SPM. Great job by their team. Kitchen looks great. Highly recommend this company.
