Do not start a build with this builder under any circumstance and I encourage you to get an inspector to help you with any walk throughs to find deficiencies. Extremely unprofessional and rude. After being 5 months delayed, the possession date continued to shift week after week on the final month making organizing the logistics of everything else, including the lawyers, a nightmare. For such an ‘experienced’ builder, they have no idea how to process paperwork in a timely manner or what the next steps are causing several unnecessary expenses. For example, the registration of land titles is widely known to be delayed due to covid by approx 2-3 months; all parties were aware of this yet Neil and his representation failed to submit the documents in a timely manner. As such, I incurred several charges, was required to pay out of pock for my final draw mortgage payment vs the bank and I also can’t lock in my interest rate (sky rocketing by the day) until registration is finalized. I am still organizing all of the details before litigation. The number of times I’ve been yelled at and hung up on by Neil is absolutely disgraceful and I will not tolerate it. The quality of the craftsmanship does not accurately reflect how much money and effort was spent on this project and when pointing out deficiencies, Neil will try to make you think you’re being ‘too picky’ and will not agree to fix anything without an argument. This is my second construction (5th in the family) and none of us, including my lawyer who’s been doing this for 28 years, has ever seen such a dismal operation. This has been the most stressful year I’ve experienced, ever. I will not stop warning as many prospective buyers and companies representing this builder for as long as I live. I definitely should have gone with one of the other builders in Hinton. Do yourself a favour and learn from my mistake
