Transparent team. I will complete 1 year with them in December. Triada has been an example of “putting a human face on a business”, I don’t know if this is part of their business model, but they have a human sensitive aspect to their business. Yes the apartments are old as some comments have pointed out (with some of them on the oldest streets of Montreal) but they are very well maintained. I see the property manager and the cleaning lady all the time. They are flexible and understand that life happens, so long as you communicate.

They are not intrusive, are very quick with repairs.

As for concerns about pests and insects, unfortunately the likelihood ratio is directly linked to how clean your neighbors are. That goes for most downtown living. I have been lucky to have clean, polite and quiet neighbors and have had no issues.

They also have a 24/7 after office hours line for emergencies.

They will enter your apartment when you are not home without telling you.
Noisy neighbors having raves all days and nights vomiting in the staircases.
I found cockroaches and there was animals living in the walls.. at one point they died and it smelled awful during summer.
Homeless smoking crack in the stairs.
They are trying to abusively increase the rent every year.

The lady working at the office will tell you everything is in your head and those are normal issues from living downtown.

This place will make you miserable, avoid renting with Triada.

Sad to say goodbye after 11 years. Wonderful company to deal with. Always pleasant and attentive to any needs that I had. Quick and efficient! I would gladly choose to go with them again should I ever move back to Montreal!

Horrible experience living here. Rats in the building. Drug users in the entrance way that would leave used needles. Two washing machines and one dryer for 6 buildings. The dryer would stop working every 2 weeks. Landlord takes rent by cheques like they're living in the 20th century still. Only positive experience were the nice maintenance workers.

The apartment I rented was quite nice. it certainly was not luxurious or anything, and the building did not look so good from the outside, but everything worked (plumbing, fridge, stove, shower and toilet). Whenever there was a problem, the repair team was there to help and gave good service, although not always immediately. All the neighbors I had were nice and quiet. the price was a bit on the high side, but it was justified by the level of service provided, and the proximity to downtown. the ladies that take care of customer service were nice, understanding and were always accommodating of my requests. overall a great experience.

I lived at a Triada managed apartment downtown Montreal for 2 years. Happy to say that they were fast, responsive to issues, always available for questions or concerns. They always used an official lease as well. I would rent from them again. Agree with other reviews that you shouldn't take their speed and responsiveness for granted when renting in Montreal.
