Though I share with other customers' experience, my latest contact with Waste Connections was great. I was able to talk a customer representative in a timely manner. This is an improvement! Meagan offered prompt and friendly service when I called to request a lock for the bin. She sent me the keys in just the next few days. Hopefully, the lock will be put on very soon.

I recently rented a dumpster from Waste Connections of Canada and had a great experience overall. I want to give special thanks to Jema and Megan from customer service for their outstanding support. Waste Connections of Canada are completely okay with their drivers mocking disabled people. I reached out to file a complaint after a driver mocked me for not using a crosswalk his truck was blocking and after a week no one has reached out so I have to conclude the company condones it

I would give 0 stars if I could. STAY AWAY from this company. Price was cheaper at first, but its sky rocketed and now I'm trapped in a 3 year contract.

No customer service. Pulling teeth to get a reply from them. They are no help when/if you do get ahold of them. They will miss pickups and then charge you for them. They are full of excuses.

Previous garbage company at our old facility would never miss pickups, only Waste Connections. Never had a dealt with such a difficult company. Save yourself and go anywhere else.

They also Auto-Renew their contracts for with absolutely no notice whenever you make a change to your pick up. Plus hidden fees all over the place. READ the fine print before you sign.

There are Charlatan and there is waste connection

Responding to waste connections reply: of-course your sending out a generic reply to act as if your doing something, the phone number you provided is the main company's phone number and it will not take you to any customer service individual. Even when you get a hold of an individual and we ask them if we can talk to a manger "because our sale person always tries to brush everything under the rug", we hear that they are not supposed to give out the managers phone number to customers, (wait what!!!)

Then how can we raise our concerns

I'm a small Business in Vancouver and I have been a customer of Waste Connections of Canada Inc. for several months, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. Despite paying for regular waste collection services, I have encountered recurring issues that have not been resolved, including:

Missed Pickups: Waste Connections has repeatedly failed to collect waste on scheduled dates. On November 30, 2024, January 23, 2025, and February 13, 2025, no pickup was completed, despite photographic and video evidence proving the bin was full and accessible.

Billing Errors: I was charged for services that were not rendered. Despite providing proof of missed pickups, Waste Connections has refused to issue refunds or credits for these charges.

Poor Customer Service: When I raised these issues with Waste Connections, they failed to respond within the agreed timeframe or provide a resolution. Even after formally notifying them of their breaches of contract, they continued to ignore my concerns and refused to acknowledge their failures.

Lack of Accountability: Waste Connections attempted to justify their missed pickups by blaming weather conditions and claiming the driver’s GPS showed activity near my location. However, they could not provide proof that a pickup was actually completed.

Threats of Penalties: When I terminated the contract due to their recurring breaches, Waste Connections threatened to charge me liquidated damages and send my account to collections. This is unacceptable, especially when they were the ones who failed to perform their obligations under the agreement.

Why I Do Not Recommend Waste Connections:
Unreliable Service: Missed pickups are a recurring issue, and Waste Connections does not take responsibility for their failures.

Poor Communication: Their customer service team is unresponsive and dismissive of legitimate concerns.

Billing Issues: They charge for services not rendered and refuse to issue refunds or credits.

Lack of Professionalism: Instead of resolving issues, they resort to threats and intimidation.

Final Thoughts:
If you are considering Waste Connections for waste management services, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. Their inability to provide reliable service, address billing errors, or respond to customer concerns makes them a poor choice for any business. Save yourself the hassle and choose a company that values its customers and honer its commitments.

Dangerous driving WK5253 no signal or no shoulder check on Joyce Street Jan.24 at 12:45pm. Driver driving unsafe switching lanes abruptly without signalling. Younger coloured driver with beard. Almost sideswiped vehicle. Been behind him for quite a few kms.

Our Strata building recently suffered a damaged cardboard bin due to arson. Our initial contact to WC was a bit chilly yet sympathetic until we where redirected to our new account manager, Laura B. She was absolutely fantastic providing a listening hear, acting promptly to ensure the bin was replaced in a timely manner along with extending a generous consideration on the replacement cost which is very important as the vast majority of us are seniors! Laura followed up even calling and/or emailing after hours on her own time to ensure a smooth delivery - which is rare customer service. Laura, you are a superstar and a very heartfelt thank you to Crisell who was equally as kind and provided excellent service.
