Once again warning people not to do business with this company. They stole my damage deposit and cited that it was to pay for four hours worth of cleaning after I got a clean inspection notice from them, except for the oven. It doesn't take four hours to clean an oven, and it's certainly not worth an entire damage deposit. They are racist crooks and I urge everyone to avoid them.

Griesbach being shut down and everyone told they have to leave. People start doing so and they start moving new people in and not telling them that in March of 2026 everyone must leave for new construction.

Watch out for these guys. They will try to rip you off when you move out. I rented a place in Greisbach and when I moved out I took a few days off of work to clean the place. I cleaned inside the window frames took down light fixtures and cleaned inside them. I gave the place a thorough scrub down. My move out inspection went well and I was given a paper copy with everything checked off as good on it. Then 2 weeks later I get an email saying I owe $600 for additional cleaning. When I told them I wouldn't pay anything until they gave me an itemized bill they told me it was for cleaning of the stove and the laundry sinks. The stove was 30 years old. I left it cleaner than when I moved in and it was checked off as good on my move out inspection. I also sent them a picture of the laundry sinks that were so shiny you could see your face in them. They then tried to bargain with me and asked for $200 to which I told them they would have to sue me for. Never heard from them again. Take lots of pictures when you move in and out.

I stayed at the Galen Loft apartments by Westcorp for 4 months this summer. The unit itself is nice and as the pictures were presented. However, BEWARE OF THE HIDDEN FEES.

I spoke to Yifan for a month before my move in regarding my vehicle being at the apartment. She sent the lease, took all my information about my vehicle and nothing was mentioned that it would be $135 additional per month to park until an hour before I moved in. At this point I was driving up from Calgary to Edmonton which she was aware of and I had no choice other than to pay the amount. Highly unethical to send the parking agreement at this point. She also did not mention that the parking garage would be a 10 minute walk from my apartment.

Management is only responsive and wanting to reach out when it comes to collecting rent and when it benefits themselves. I emailed and called over 10 times for linens for my pull out couch. No response and sent yo a call centre for all their buildings. Never received any linens nor a response despite being told they’d be waiting outside my room for me many time. I had make this request a second time a month later for which I didn’t receive a response for a number of days. However, they finally delivered them 2 days after my guest arrived.

There is a hidden linen cleaning fee of $50 no matter the condition of your at the time of departure.

The damage deposit of $500 will not be fully reimbursed no matter the condition of your room. The gentleman who came to do my inspection was shocked how clean my apartment was and only found a small scuff in the closet that was there when I moved in and some minor food burns inside the stove caps (very reasonable for a 4 month stay). He claimed that normally the apartments are trashed and that mine is one of the cleanest he’s ever seen. $150 of cleaning fee was deducted. Ridiculous considering the state of the room and the time I’d put in to clean it throughly. Not to mention he was 45 minutes late to the inspection without notice, making me late for work that day. He called me 30 minutes after the appointment time to let me know he got busy with other tenants.

We run a business and are housing 20 employees in Edmonton next summer. We were planning on giving our business to Westcorp, however after this experience, we will be looking elsewhere for housing. We are highly disappointed with the way they treat their guests and the continuous unexpected charges

These people are absolute criminals and if you need a place run by them I would recommend looking elsewhere. My mother and I cleaned our townhouse, the inspection was perfect (except for the stove we forgot) and they charged us $400 for CLEANING and stole my damage deposit. They were tearing those buildings down anyways. Despicable slumlords.

Decent unit. Convenient location for hospital stays/visits. However very questionable management company/practices. Charged for cleaning even though unit was left cleaner than when we moved in - we had a very short stay (only two weeks) and everything was as it was prior or better than when we moved in. Had before and after photos and provided those to the employee doing check out inspection to show the condition upon move in vs move out (the vacuum was full of dust/debris from previous tenants, bathroom fan clogged with dirt/grime, radiator heaters dusty…we cleaned and addressed all of this when we moved out even though it was gross when we moved in). Inspection was perfect. Only prior issues noted (same issues noted at check in from previous tenants) and we were still charged for additional cleaning. Specifics as to what cleaning was done after check out was not provided - just a bill vaguely stating we owed cleaning fees. I can not figure out what on earth would have needed to be cleaned in that unit after we left?! I’m sure they just charge everyone regardless of how clean you leave it. Watch for the cash grab.
