I’ve been a tenant with Westwynd Property Management since 2016. They seem to be really nice during the check-in and showing, but you may face long waits during inquiries.

As a good tenant, I saved Westwynd thousands of dollars by taking the initiative to handle small repairs myself, such as unclogging pipes and replacing toilet tank valves. I took pride in maintaining the property, but my efforts went unrecognized and unappreciated.

Recently, I faced a frustrating situation where Westwynd threatened to withhold my security deposit upon moving out. Their justification was vague, citing "damages" that we both know were either pre-existing or normal wear and tear since the unit is from 1980, and it felt like my 8+ years as a good tenant, not having a single complaint or delaying any payment, were not appreciated.

Furthermore, I experienced long waiting times for repairs on essential appliances like the stove, washer, and dishwasher. Interestingly, the dishwasher was "coincidentally" repaired just two days after I gave my move-out notice, which raised my suspicions about their priorities. Additionally, there was a storage break-in that happened in 2022, which was a significant issue that also ended up being ignored by Westwynd. This lack of responsiveness only added to my frustration.

Overall, I would strongly advise anyone considering renting from Westwynd to think twice. My checkout experience has been filled with threats and poor communication. It’s unfortunate because I had high hopes when I first moved in, but I will definitely not be recommending them to anyone in the future.
