Jordan took me for a half day guided fishing trip. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. All gear required was supplied and took me to a beautiful fishing spot. With his guidance I did manage to hook a number of fish and landed a couple of nice rainbow trout.

We want to give a big shout out to Mike and Jordan at Whistler Fishing Guides. My son and I were visiting Whistler and fishing was on our list of adventures. We have fly fished a bit before, but decided to do some casting lessons to sharpen up our skills. Well worth it and got us ready for our trip the following day. We were able to river fish. The area is absolutely stunning and we both caught some nice fish. Mike put us in some good spots and gave just the right amount of coaching. The gear was excellent and opportunities to try different flies and techniques. We recommend them if you’re looking for a great fishing trip in Whistler.

Jordan was a great teacher helping me and my husband to learn fly fishing. Very quick to respond to emails, friendly and easy going.
Able to give good advice on equipment and sent links for us to check out and invited us to email with any questions after we were finished with the lesson. Would definitely recommend if you’re looking to learn fishing.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Fishing Trip!

Had an awesome time with Damien as our guide in Whistler! He was super friendly and knew exactly where to go. Everything was easy and well-organized, and the views were unreal. Best fishing experience I’ve had! Already planning to book again later this summer!

My father and I had an unforgettable time on the river with Jordan! He’s incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and made the experience fun and stress-free. I took an intro to fly fishing with him a few months back, so when I knew my dad was coming to visit, I didn’t hesitate to book another trip with him. Whistler Fishing Guides goes above and beyond from start to finish, and we can’t recommend them enough. Huge thanks again Jordan!

When we signed up for our second session with WFG, we not only signed up for time with the fish, we received an education lasting a lifetime, along with guides that we consider mentors and friends. For the two of us avid anglers, and outsiders from California who aspire to improve our anadromous game, we were courteously and professionally treated to a collaborative day out drifting on the Squamish river during coho season.

Jordan always engaged with updated details about the river conditions ahead of time, and also streamlined the entire process of proper specifics to gear, while organizing the entire drift boat and car travel. As I indicated in my last review, WFG not only hones in the fly gear to approach the water, but also elevates photography along the way, which for us bears true significance as being in a foreign river in a unique experience means relishing all the fishy and artistic moments that arise without diverting our attention from fishing.

Jordan pulled out all the stops with his DSLR camera and phone, guiding along with Damien to put us on dozens of coho, chum, and bull trout in November 2024, drifting a massive stretch to cover as many holes as possible. Techniques wise, I was exposed to topwater tactics after securing plenty of coho on single-hand stripping, while Madison proceeded to secure countless coho and bull trout on stripping and nymphing tactics. Damien’s systematic and diligent approach put me on coho literally on four fish in the first five casts (no exaggeration here), a memory that puts this river at the peak of my consciousness.

As I would always emphasize with all guides, yet so rarely encountered, with WFG it’s truly not just about the fish, it’s the banter, conversation, and camaraderie that all their guides embody as people, immersing in the passion of their art and work. Post-gaming with Jordan, as usual, he put us on other DIY options for the rest of the week - a courtesy that cannot be underemphasized - allowing us to fish and put our practice in motion, all the while supplying us with all kinds of fishy options for the future openly and enthusiastically. We always come out as better anglers, connoisseurs of the wild, and more importantly, better people. We’ll always return and consider WFG our lower mainland coastal home away from home, as there are few words that can truly capture the kind of generosity and professionalism these guys offer.
